Philosophy
My massage therapy practice is rooted in skilled therapeutic touch tailored to your body’s unique rhythm. Through deep listening and subtle yet targeted myofascial release techniques, we gently invite your system to unwind into its own somatic attunement.
I approach massage as a relationship with the body
Alongside my training and honed skills as a Massage Therapist, I listen through my hands to the fascia and tissues—their movement, resistance, softening, and subtle invitations toward release.
More than working out the knots: a conversation through touch
I don’t experience the body as a collection of knots that need to be fixed. Over 24 years of massage therapy practice, I have come to deeply honour and trust the wisdom inherent in every body. Experience has taught me that mechanically forcing through tightness is simply less effective. Instead, through a deeply hands-on approach, my touch listens to the subtle conversation of your tissues, actively following your body’s cues rather than imposing a fix.
This opens an organic space for the inherent conversation taking place between my hands and your body—a process that builds deep trust and space for your body’s own intelligence to come back into balance. At times, the body may lead us somewhere quite different from where the discomfort first appeared, offering an unexpected access point toward realignment and release. Healing often happens when we listen to the whole system.
When I place my hands on your body, I’m listening
I’m noticing the quality of the tissue beneath my hands. Where there is movement. Where there is resistance. Where something begins to soften, shift, or invite me to follow. From this place of quiet curiosity, I am deeply interested in what becomes possible when I don’t assume I already know what your body needs.
Profoundly restful, deeply nourishing
This gentler, attuned way of working can support a deeper sense of alignment, spaciousness, and balance that can often continue beyond the treatment room. Sometimes, the most meaningful change happens when we stop trying to force a release and instead begin listening to what the body asks for and honouring what it already knows to do. This is the kind of massage I am dedicated to offering: skilled, responsive, respectful and deeply intuitive.
